Q411 is headed east into Washington DC on CSX’s Metropolitan Subdivision at Barnesville, Md. I can’t use ‘thundering’ for this photo though and coasting or drifting sure doesn’t work either. Groaning isn't right either, I guess I'll use struggling. The locomotives are 'struggling' up grade through Barnesville which is just west of the top of the grade over Parrs Ridge, the high ground between DC and Point of Rocks. In a moment they'll get to coast for a while and play with the breaks. /DL
