Grand Trunk Western 4-8-4 6409, Bellevue, Michigan, Summer 1952 One of my earliest steam photos. The streamlined 4-8-4s were rarely used in freight service, but here No. 6409 brings a westbound along the main line, running on the eastbound track perhaps due to track work. Photographed with Kodak folding cartridge camera on size 116 film. For more of my steam photos from the 1950s, visit my Rail Archive (www.railarchive.net). Photographed by Dr. Richard Leonard, August, 1952. Added to the photo archive by Dr. Richard Leonard, October 10, 2008. Railroad: Grand Trunk Western. Dr. Richard Leonard's awards: | |
