Plymouth at the mainline/branch junction

We are looking back on the semafore which protected the Lincoln Branch (which we just entered onto) from the mainline (which diverged from the tracks from the south somewhere around the Irving station). There's no evidence of this junction and a passerby would think the line to Lincoln was always the mainline.
