Here is a closer shot showing the two trains connected together. In total the combined # 304 & # 352 had 10 coaches and 2 engines.The MBTA awarded a $9.6 million contract with Transportation Technologies Inc. of Yonkers NY for the top-deck overhaul of all 25 GP40MCs. Transportation Technologies has subcontracted with Norfolk Southern for part of the component overhaul work, and has also sub-contracted with American Motive Power in Danville NY for the work on the locomotives. One must hope that after all of the 25 GP40MC's are overhauled, they will operate well, without big issues. So far #'s 1118, 1128, 1131, 1132 have been completed and returned.
