Catskill Creek bridge 1 From 1882 to 1918, this bridge over the Catskill creek in Catskill, NY , (now a pedestrian walkway), once carried travelers over the creek on the start of their 16 mile narrow gauge journey from the Hudson River steamboat landing to Palenville where they transferred to stagecoaches for their stay at the famed Catskill Mountain House and other summer resorts.
