Southern New England Ry. Trestle Ruins

Next stop: the abyss! An overall view looking r.r. west of the east abutment. Standing here is a bit spooky as the fill descends at about a 60-degree angle ... steepening as one gets closer to the abutment.

Sharp eyed viewers will see the bruin in the branches in the form of a white semi-trailer working east on the Pike. This relic of railroading's past is no longer visible from the highway due to prolific vegetation.
