The old PRR Bel-Del

A ride south of Phillipsburg along the Delaware river in New Jersey had us following the former Pennsylvannia Railroad Bel-Del branch. The line turns to rust, but the brush along the line was cut back. I was mentioning to Gerald that this would make a great tourist train run, especially Steam. It is all up hill northbound and watching steam work the grade would make for great photos. As we headed back towards Phillipsburg we ran across the Belvidere and Delaware # 142 (former Connecticut Valley RR Chinese built) engine sitting having just run south to this point. We followed the train as it shoved back to Phillipsburg.
The only shame is the power faces south and shoves backwards upgrade.
