Otis Elevating Railway at Palenville, NY

This view shows the substantial construction of the concrete trestle located on the Otis Elevating Railway. Given the remoteness and inaccessibility of the location, there will probably never be a reason to remove the span and it will likely last as long as the pyramids. I cannot help but wonder what future civilizations will make of this concrete ruin pointed so steeply towards the sky.
