Maine Eastern RR Passenger Cars Get Cleaned

A contractor cleans the vestibule of Maine Eastern Railroad passenger car "Magnolia" using an innovative dry-ice system. I can attest the fact that this worked very well, the stainless steel bright and clean afterwards. The cars are also receiving new paint (see my other photos) as evidenced by the masking tape around the windows. This car was built by Budd in 1946 for the FEC. Later it was SCL, Amtrak, then Acadian. Regular passenger service resumes May 24th. More info at www.maineeasternrailroad.com.
