Lower Road

This section of rail is in Gardiner, Me. Maine Eastern currently leases this line from the State of Maine. There hasn't been any action up this for some time now. The last passenger service this line saw was by The Belfast and Moosehaed Lake Railroad in 2002, they ran a Bud car from Hallowell to Richmond. Maine Coast ran this line in the summer od 1995 too. There are still passenger platforms in Richmond and Hallowell. Maine eastern could set up a Portable one in Augusta, and the City of Gardiner I believe still has a wooden platform that still can be put in plce to load/unload passengers. It would be nice to see A PASSNEGER TRAIN ON THIS LINE AGAIN. Nokia Camera phone. I'm trying to make higher quality images looks like it's working:)
