O&W Whistle Marker at Fishs Eddy, NY

This is O&W Road at the edge of Fishs Eddy, NY. As its name implies, the road was built over the right-of-way of the New York, Ontario, and Western RR, which was abandoned in 1957. A lonesome whistle marker at the side of the road can only hint that this was once a busy double-tracked main line.
