L&N: The Humming Bird

In the mid-1950's, as a young boy, I would write to railroad public relations departments, asking for information about trains. Photos like this were often sent as a result. Date and photographer unknown, but circa 1950. The Humming Bird ran Cincinnati-New Orleans, with cars also from Chicago and St. Louis, and is seen here crossing Biloxi Bay, MS.

Unknown photographer 1950.
Added to the photo archive by Bill Hakkarinen, February 18, 2008.
Railroad: Louisville and Nashville.
