CMRR Locomotive 401. Hand Brake Wheel.

Hoses, railings to grab on, what's the grab on above the headlight for? Can trainman/brakemen walk above boxcars? Locomotives? Rules classes on the Catskill Mountain RR are informative. Orientation classes teach much more than SAFETY FIRST ! ! Steel toed boots are an excellent choice for safety, but, in what case scenario 'ya wouldn't want one on ? CORRECT !! Checking the sand lines can be very, very dangerous. Watch where you place your feet. Fine sand sometimes gets wet/frozen. Keep the drive wheels sanded when necessary - gettin' up to High Point, NY., - modify and adapt. Know your handrails, it's pitch black, lantern went out, gotta snake sandlines. Know where they are. Carry flares for emergency. Get your train up the mountain. Can't stop - or it's reverse move clear to west Hurley.
