NYO&W 8304 at Benjamin Knox Gallery, College Station Texas

While visiting Texas, I stopped to see NYO&W 8304 at Benjamin Knox Gallery, College Station, Texas. This caboose was built in 1916 and went to the LIRR in 1957 as No. 70, then renumbered to 75 in 1962. It was then sold to Joseph Krajecek of Gardiner, NY in 1963. In 1970, it was sold to a traction group in Camden, NJ, and later made its way to Mapleton, Iowa, and went to an art gallery in Santa Monica, CA about 1994. The caboose was moved here in 2003, where it has been well taken care of since, though the current owners think it is a PRR caboose.
