Third String Southbound

Having already seen two of Connecticut Southern's freight's over Amtrak's Springfield/New Haven Line, a successful morning of February 6, 2007 had just ended with the passage of a southbound Amtrak shuttle. Ready to depart, another southbound horn up by Parson's in Enfield had me surprised by the following sound of EMD turbos as Guilford's PL-1 came through on its way to Berlin and Plainville, CT.

Photographed by Jeff Bray, February 6, 2007.
Added to the photo archive by Jeff Bray, October 26, 2007.
Railroad: Guilford/Amtrak.
