UHRR "40-Miler" @ Thurman, NY

The UHRR's "40-Miler" to Hadley, NY rolls along the Hudson River as it approaches Thurman Station in the town of Thurman, NY. This view is from the New York State Route 418 bridge over the Hudson River and is where the Schroon River joins the Hudson. Just south of here, the D&H's branch to Warrensburg once diverged from the Adirondack Branch. In fact, the old truss bridge that carried the Warrensburg Branch over the Hudson can be seen from the other side of this bridge. Hmm, I should've taken a photo of that while I was up there too, huh? Oh well, sorry about that...
