July Meeting and Rail excursion with the Downeast Scenic Railroad my father and I took a speedster from Ellsworth to Green Lake. This date makes the 126 Anniversary, that the first train ran from Calais to Brewer, Maine. The group is in the process of restoring the line and someday plan to run a passenger train From Brewer to Ellsworth, and so on. for more info check out: http://www.downeastscenicrail.org. This railroad is not searchable on this site yet as of 9-4-2007
