SRY 1204 started life as CN 1070. It was retrucked in 1990 and renumbered 1170. Because 1170 didn't get the engine rebuild as the 1400's it was retired by the late 1990's and sold to Taylor Group Marine. It was sold to SRY in 2006. The 1204 has historical significance to BC, it was the last locomotive CN used on Vancouver Island and was used on the last CN train on Vancouver Island in 1990 before becoming 1170.
