Amtrak's Adirondack with ALCO PA's at Mechanicville, NYThis photo was scanned from an old slide. The box of slides had dates between 1974 and 1976. When the Adirondack was revived the D+H was much more actively involved in its operation than the typical Amtrak host railroad. Although it was an Amtrak train it had the look and feel of a D+H passenger train. The motive power brought many railfans to ride and photgraph this train.
