A westbound C&NW freight comes off the bridge over the Chicago River. The St. Charles Air Line runs east from south of Union Station to the shore of Lake Michigan and becomes one of the main lines of the Illinois Central. This view is from the former 20th Centrury Railroad Club Skybox on 18th Street.
