EB&L Engine 3

East Branch & Lincoln RR Engine 3, an 0-4-0T, is displayed at the entrance to the Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH. The EB&L was a Logging RR runnning from 1893-1947.

#3 Porter was originally built for Watertown Arsenal in Massachusetts. It never had an ICC cab card and could not run on the local B&M branch. Nevertheless, it was as far south as Beebe River after a flood in 1952, 1953 or 1954 to repair track. While some of the ballast was hauled in standard hopper cars, at least four (4) Fox Trucked flats were made into gondolas during the effort.
