Auto Train On The Move

Amtrak's "Auto Train" #53 is just minutes into its journey from Lorton, Va. to Sanford, Fla. as it thunders across the the Occoquan River bridge through Woodbridge, Va. Two F40PHs and a GP40H lead a typical pre-Superliner consist of Heritage and Amfleet passenger cars ahead of the auto carriers. The train included three dome cars: a former NP dome coach, a former GN "Great Dome" lounge, and a former MILW "Super Dome" lounge.
