Former I-C Springfield Union Station Restoration

Springfield (Illinois) Union Station (no longer served by rail)is being restored into a visitor center and office space for lease. The cost so far for the restoration is around $12-million dollars. When it was built by the Illinois Central Railroad in the early 20th Century, it cost $75,000.
