Fall Foliage in Nova Scotia

Two GP9RMs, leased from Cando Contracting, lead the eastbound empty gypsum train down the grade from Mt. Denson on a fine fall day. Four rebuilt GP9s replaced most of the Windsor & Hantsport's fleet of MLW RS-23s about a year ago, with two handling the gypum trains, another on the way freight, and the fourth as a spare or for additional power if the freight is especially heavy. The gypsum trains make five round trips to the mines on a typical weekday.
