Charnock Cut - Road Overpass, B&M Central Mass. Branch

As part of the latest Wachusett Greenways project on the former Central Mass. branch in Rutland, MA., a concrete tunnel has been added under Charnock Hill Road. The original granite bridge abutments are still in place through hidden again by the backfill. Charnock Cut was nealry impassable but has been completely graded and is nearly completed from Miles Road to the W. Rutland State Park. This view is looking east at the beginning of the cut.
