CP in Northern Vermont, Again! No this isn't the early 90's. Its the First day of July 2006! A special Southbound CP Extra Ballast train with rebuilt Geep-9s and 43 empties heads for Newport Center and eventually Newport Yard for a recrew and southbound run over WACR to be loaded at Lyndonville. The train would later run over NECR, GMRC and VTR to Whitehall to be handed over to CP (D&H).... I must note on this perfectly sunny day, that a cloud formed over me in North Troy and followed me all the way to Newport. Of Course... Photographed by Mark Fortin, July 1, 2006. Added to the photo archive by Mark Fortin, July 2, 2006. Railroad: Montreal, Maine, & Atlantic.
