Where giants dwelled.

My travels brought me inside the abandoned Santa Fe Albuquerque, New Mexico roundhouse in 1986, prior to its demolition the following year. Closing sixteen years before the shoot, the roundhouse once held the enormous steam locomotives of the road in thirty-five stalls at the shops for maintenance or repair. The loud sounds of metal hammering forty-six years ago gave way to an occasional pigeon's wing-flapping on this day.
