Torpedo in the tunnel.

Muni PCC Type-D "Torpedo" motorman glides his car through the Twin Peaks Tunnel eastbound towards the East Bay Terminal in this shot. These cars were all-electric, and were originally designed as double-ended cars in 1948. They were converted into single-ended cars by Muni in 1955.
