Forefathers…When Trains Didn't Exist

22 years before the United States came into existence, 117 years before the railroad came through town, and 252 years before this photo was taken, an 89-year-old gentleman by the name of Daniel Prior died here along the Connecticut River. His remains, along with those of his relatives, lie interned just up the stairs in the background of this photo.
