Former Grand Trunk Ry Lewiston Branch, Auburn Station

After ducking under Main Street, the Grand Trunk Ry Lewiston Branch met the mighty Androscoggin River. To the right stood the Auburn freight house, now a park. Straight ahead is the 450 foot span crossing the river to the city of Lewiston and its numerous textile mills. Can you hear the nervous chatter of the French-Canadian immigrants as they saw this view?
