As was common practice at the time, Guilford freights NESE/SENE would swap Conrail for GTI power somewhere between Ayer and Rigby (i.e. not at all). On 12/31/94, Conrail power on SENE made it as far as North Berwick, ME before meeting "the enemy".

In this view, NESE has head-pinned its GTI power and is heading through the CPF-232 interlocking limits and onto SENE's train (SENE's power has moved over to the #2 track). NESE arrived with MEC #604, B&M #352, ST #72, and ST #208 on the point.
