New AMTRAK alignment, Berlin, CT.

Shot looking south from the Berlin (CT) station shows the new mainline as it approaches the new platform. The old main is at right and has been cut off past the bridge in the distance. Not many years ago there used to be two mainline tracks in this territory. The new track is about 2 feet higher than the old main.

The crane is driving piles at the old bridge over Rte. 372.
