Winter returns to the Downeaster corridor

Amtrak's Downeaster arrives northbound at Dover, N.H. plastered with ice and snow on the early afternoon run. Passengers braved 17-degree temperatures as they boarded. Just 24 hours prior, it had been 55 degrees and there was no snow on the ground. (Data from UNH Weather Station, Durham.)
