The "Pebble"

Looking north at the "Pebble", which has been joined by some other, smaller versions over time. At this point, we are on the "new" alignment, which was completed in 1960, due to the construction of Thomaston Dam. The old alignment rejoins the new just around the curve behind the 529 in this photo. The "Grotto" seen in the previous photos is on the origional alignment.

Photographed by BandAfan, August 20, 2005.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., September 6, 2005.
Railroad: Naugatuck Railroad.
