Comparison of NH 529 and NAUG (ex B&M) 1508 coupled short hood to short hood. The 529 has the steam gen. in the "Alco preferred" position for aesthetic purposes, while the 1508 has it in the "Practical" position, where the controls are easier to get to. They are 180 degrees out from each other in the locomotives, but facing the same direction in this view.
