K-36 489 charges out of Chama past a landmark from the past, Jukes Tree. Fred Jukes worked for the D&RGW in the late 19th and early 20th century and was one of the earliest railfan/railroaders who also enjoyed photographing trains. While assigned to Chama, this became one of his favorite spots to photograph the trains, hence the name.
