Illinois Railway Museum - New Eating Facility

This picture shows the Illinois Railway Museum's new dining facility, put into full operation in May 2003. On the right is an original 1930's O'Mahoney Diner from Akron, Ohio; the attached brick building (the "diner annex") is entirely new and cost more than a quarter million dollars. The overhead wires in front of the diner are part of IRM's regularly-used trolley bus route, the only one of its kind in an American museum.
