CNE/Housy Diamond

The crosstrack at Canaan remains in place. Another part of history...only the Housatonic part is used. The CNE abandoned it usage of their line long ago. The way the station was situated provided easy access to both railroads in the days of steam passenger trains. This is a view looking on the CNE line.

The station was destroyed in September of 2001 from a fire. Only part of the station remains. The tower and CNE side have been completely destroyed.
