Lake Shore Limited-Albany Station

Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited at Albany Station in 1978. These were the later end of the interesting times when one could watch an Amtrak train go by with Union Pacific coaches on the front, Penn Central Coaches in the middle, and any other railroad you could think of that had passenger service. Although in this photo, the cars have been repainted, their true identity has been covered up but they are the nicer riding coaches compared to the Amtubes.

Photographed by Robert B. Clere, 1978.
Added to the photo archive by Xian Clere, November 17, 2004.
Railroad: Amtrak.
