LIC Yard A, May 8, 1999

Yard A in Long Island City, Queens. At the time of the photo (1999) the yard was used as a engine shop and switching yard for the New York & Atlantic Railway freight line. The yard has since been cleared to make way for the LIRR's East Side Access project.

Taken from a northbound 7 (IRT Flushing/Queenborough) Train.
