Jackson Street Roundhouse

This is the turntable at the Minnesota Transportation Museum's Jackson Street Roundhouse. If this photo had been taken five years earlier, you wouldn't have seen a turntable but rather a post office, which is what the roundhouse had been converted into after the railroad sold it. MTM had to tear down part of the post office that had been built over the original turntable pit, replace all of the stall doors, dig a new pit and install a new turntable.
