There are seven pages to the roster and 340 operators on the roster. This roster covered only the towers from about Bridgeport, Ct. to Boston, Ma. on the Shoreline branch of the New Haven RR.
Today on the same territory, one can count on one hand the operators left on this territory. Progress in action.
The first man on the roster was hired out in 1896 and as of the date on this roster was still working the second trick operators job at Branford, Ct. How about 58 years working? Don't make them like that anymore.
