NECR 3869, a high hood GP-38 is parked on a turntable spur at the NECR St. Albans VT shop. Originally built in November 1969 as Southern 2776, this locomotive was later numbered NS 2776, SGVY 301 and NECR 3869. It arrived on the NECR in Spring of 2001 in RailAmerica colors and numbered as SGVY 301. It was renumbered to NECR 3869 a few months later.

3869 is the only NECR locomotive painted in the RailAmerica color scheme.
