NYNHHRR-Cedar Hill engine house coal car ramp.

NYNHHRR-Cedar Hill engine house ready track. Looking between a pair of coal hoppers at the coal hopper ramp at the coal tower at Cedar Hill. The yard crews would shove a string of loads up the ramp and the coal pocket crews would let them down one at a time to a pit where they were unloaded into buckets that traveled up and down the back of the coal tower.
The Lyman St. footbridge is in the background. Picture taken ca. 1947-8.

Photographed by Bob Lingane, 1948.
Added to the photo archive by Robert Lingane, July 25, 2004.
