E&N Railway Victoria stationLooking at the current Victoria station, built in 1985 by VIA Rail Canada and the City of Victoria. The old station facility, that was torn down in 1972, was located in the green space in the background. The old station was much larger, it was a two story white and green building that also housed the E&N Railway's head offices and Victoria yard offices it also had two platforms and three station tracks. In 1955 the E&N moved its head office to the newly-constructed Wellcox yard and in 1972 the Victoria yard office was moved to the station north of the Victoria yard at mileage 0.8. This is the forth building to serve as the E&N Railway's Victoria station, the first building was built in 1886 at what is now the Russell's St. crossing, mileage 0.85, the second building was built in 1888 in downtown Victoria near the current station, the third building was built in 1972 at the north end of the Victoria yard, and the current station was built in 1985 on the Store St. lead.
