Old Crossing....

Old crossing in Vassalboro, Maine. To the right of this picture is the old ROW that use to carry the Trolley line across this road when it was dirt I believe. Just to the left of the green sign the track crossed Seven Mile Stream then went on to Augusta, down Bangor street then finally to Lewiston, Me via Rt 126. It started operation in 1908 and made it's final operation run in 1939. This line for short was calles the LA&W the Lewiston, Augusta and Wtaerville Street Railway. 35mm
