The Other French Creek Bridge

French Creek Bridge on the Port Alberni Subdivision. Near Cameron Lake. Hard to believe that 2 years ago this line had the most freight traffic on the E&N and was the backbone of their freight business, they'd haul up to 60 cars a day(depending on time of year, 30 cars to Port Alberni and 30 cars back to Nanaimo), Monday-Saturday. Unlike most of the Victoria Subdivision the Port Alberni Sub has been upgraded with 100 lb rail to handle 286k, that was done a couple years before rail service to Port Alberni ended in 2001.
