I put the pedal to the metal to catch up with him from the Wellington siding, and as I was pulling up to the station, he was getting ready to leave. The conductor shouted "all aboard", the transmissions dropped into gear, the bell started ringing and VIA 6148 left Nanaimo bound Victoria on the last leg of its run.
