MEC 288

MEC 288 (GE U23B, ex-D&H) working at the Interstate Brands Company in Biddeford, Maine -- the largest commercial bakery in the U.S., and maker of, among other things, Twinkies and Hostess Cakes.

This was the last time I saw 288 in action before it was sold to Quebec Central.

Photographed by R.T. Dowling, March, 2000.
Added to the photo archive by R.T. Dowling, December 13, 2003.
Railroad: Guilford.
