Still there...

Looking East across the Kennebec River Railroad Bridge in downtown Augusta, Me. This bridge hasn't seen a train in a few years. A few thousand feet behind me there is a new track that stops on the other side of the makshift parking lot. This gaurdrail was put here to top people from trying to drive/park on the bridge, the rest is a parking lot. Funny though a few more thousand feet behind me is new track laid already so freight and passenger trains can run this route again, freight first, because the mill seen in the forground across the river can re-open. Well I guess they're going to have to dig up the parking lot and make way for some trains, they did this once before a few years ago what a waste of taxpayers money, what was the city thinking? The gaurdrail is still there today 7-22-03 35mm.
